Ge4 ti 4200 hin?

Hi guys!

I bought an Albatron Ge4 ti 4200 with 128 megs and replaced the cooler cause it was somehow rattling. I also glued ram coolers on the ram with arctic silver glue. After 2 day running fine it shows funny color stripes in the boot screen and in windows. Windows xp doesn'tstart, it freezes showing some odd colour combo, and win 98 only works in safe mode. I didn't overclock the card, and thats a rally funny thing its showing (the colours). I know I've voided my warranty by replacing the cooler, but do you have some advice (I replaced it with a waterblock (yes, its tight) and used arctic silver 3, so it cant bea heat problem.

hm, vielleicht ist WLP auf die bauteile zwischen den rams gekommen?

if you are not able to fix the problems, try to remove alle the coolers and replace them with the original ones...
perhaps, you'll get warranty

ja, aufm´ram auf zwei so silberne wegleitungen (keine ahnung wie des ding heißt) hab i aber gleich beim aufkleben entdeckt und mit nitro oxylin weggeputz und alle anderen nochmal gecheckt- glaub also nicht, denn hab mal son pic gesehen von nem typen dem das passiert ist - bamm, des hat gefackelt und so und geknallt gleich beim starten. Es hat ja für 2 Tage gefunkt. Ausserdem ist arctic silver nur bei extrem hohen temps >100 Grad und extremen druck (da is ja gar kein druck drauf) leitfähig.

Ja des blede is nur i hab gar kei lust des nochmal auszubaun - ich musse ja das mainboard ausbaun, weil der nb wak draufgeschraubt is und den raddi hab ich mit doppelseiten klebeband gefixt. Hat jemand as schomal probiert zu removen ? Ich schon, dann kann ich nachher 2 h verdünner drübergiessen und kratzen, damit die flächn wiederglatt wird!!!

The problem may from your cooler.
Due to the Ti4200 GPU will be hot,and it needs a cooler for spreading out the HOT.
Could you please change another cooler?

Des hat mir grad a support typ aus tw gschickt!
Is der bled? Luft is besser als Wasser? Ich hab uber der kartn einen Globalwin mit 2 60x60 Lüftern und Passive ram-Bausteine!!!!!

Dear Mr. Lin!

I'm sure thats not the prob cause there are passive cooling elements on the ram!(there werne't any there before) and there is a watercooler on the chip (NV25) with a pump circling the water and a radiator to cool it. My Amd Athlon is on the same circle and is running at 30 Degrees under LOAD! As well there are two 60x60 GlobalWin Fans blowing air on top of the card. So spreading the heat is not the problem. If it was, it would not show green stripes in the boot menu cause the prob would probably start when id be starting a heavy duty application which stresses components such as the graphics card. Thanks for your help, anyway, perhaps you have another explanation?

wennst as2 kleber zwischen die pins der rams bekommen hasst, ist die graka hin

as2 kleber darfst niemals auf die pins bringen. der kleber bildet a kapazität zwischen den pins und dann kommt es eben zu solchen bildfehler oder zum tod der graka

tja, mit as2 kleber hab ich auch meine r200 gekillt!
hat die gleichen bildfehler gehabt wie deine, und dann ging sie irgendwann garniht mehr!

bau den orig. kühler drauf, die ramkühler runter und zurück zum händler mit der karte! ist wohl die einzigste möglichkeit!
