Durch einen Spezi bin ich auf die vendee globe gebracht worden => selber habe ich mit Segeln nichts am Hut, aber diese Sache ist der Hammer.

Start in Frankreich, Ziel in Frankreich, dazwischen weit im Süden die Welt umrunden, und das ganze alleine am Segelboot ...

The Vendée Globe is the hardest and most famous sailing race in the world. Nicknamed the Everest of the Seas, it involves sailing around the world alone, without stopping and without assistance, setting sail from and finishing in Les Sables d’Olonne, after rounding the three legendary capes: The Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, Cape Leeuwin in Southern Australia and the infamous Cape Horn at the tip of South America. Es gibt dazu eine App bei der man immer gut informiert bleibt, Zwischenstände etc. ...

Die Führenden befinden sich zwar sozusagen schon auf der Zielgeraden (Tag 53 von wahrscheinlich etwa 72), aber es ist die ganze Zeit sehr spannend, und aktuell holt der Zweitplatzierte der bis zu einem technischen Gebrechen lange geführt hat sogar massiv auf => er war schon 800+ NM hinten und hat sich jetzt auf 130 NM herangekämpft, Tendenz sinkend da er gerade +10 Knoten auf den Führenden macht. Wohlgemerkt nach etwa 15.000 NM ...
