Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 is a board that bundles the best feature set you have ever seen. As mentioned on the introduction page, the 6 Quads are really good features to have. There is the heatpipe design which performs well. With the Gigabyte 3D cooler CPU heatsink, the noise level is practically zero. Seriously, I have never seen anything so quiet yet performs so well not only in benchmarks but also in o/c.

On top of all the 6 Quads, the mainboard also has Dual PCIe interface for CrossFire, 8 ch audio, GbE, 1394 and a super optimised BIOS for overclocking. Performance wise, this board has very good performance. In the comparison with other benchmarks of other boards using the same CPU, it wins most and lose some.

This board has plenty of overclocking options. With the ES CPU, we can lower the multiplier and increase the FSB and run the RAM at ASYNC mode. In our test, we set the multiplier to its default of 11x. The cpu voltage is set to 1.4v, RAM is set to AUTO and we were able to get it stable at 325 x 11 = 3.57GHz. SuperPI 1M scores 14s. That is probably the limit of the CPU. The BIOS screen shots can be seen from the BIOS gallery here.

Overall, the GA-965P-DQ6 is something that we haven't seen for the Intel platform for many years. If you are going for the Intel Core2 Duo or Core 2 Extreme, this board is definitely worth consideration since it even promises support of quad processor of the future.
