Tethering is the process by which you allow the iPhone to act as a 3G modem for your laptop. This would allow you to share the iPhone's cellular connection with your laptop.

A 3rd party tethering option called NetShare briefly appeared in the App Store before it was removed by Apple. AT&T traditionally charges an additional $30/month for this tethering option on their other smartphones. MacRumors has separately heard that this tethering capability is expected to be built into the 2.2 firmware.

Soda, und jetzt gleich ne Frage. Ich plane mir ein Iphone zuzulegen. Könnte ich mit sowas einen 3-Data-Tarif für mobiles Internet am Laptop nehmen, und damit auch am Iphone ins Web ? (Tele.ring biete keine Handy-Surf Pakete

)

Momentan nicht. Ob sowas als App kommen "darf" bezweifle ich.

edit: Derb ge0wnt. Es gibt Apps die das ermöglichen? Gleich mal nachschaun.

am besten mit pdanet oder auf die neue version von tunnelsuite warten...

NetShare gab es für ein paar Tage im AppStore, wurde aber dann entfernt. Jetzt bleibt nur ein jailbreak.

ack - ein iPhone ohne Jailbreak würde ich niemals angreifen, ist imho nicht besser wie ein altes Nokia Handy

Liest auch wer meine Links ?

Steht eh drinnen, und wird mit 2.2 warscheinlich kommen. Fraglich ist halt ob man die 30 Euro im Monat blechen MUSS, oder ob das Provider abhängig ist.

Naja, wenn die Funktion nicht bald am iPhone verfügbar ist, was ich leider glaube, werde ich mir wohl den USB Stick hier holen, die Frage ist nur, ob der auch mit MAC funktioniert. Was glaubt ihr?

wie auf der yesss seite nachzulesen: es gibt zwei sticks. einer wird als mit os x kompatibel angeführt, beim zweiten stehts nicht dabei. nachschaun, nachlesen, nachfragen. im zweifelsfall ist hofer eh sehr kulant und du gibst ihn einfach zurück.
