python xchat testausgabe problem

also, ich habe mal ein paar dinge mit python in der kombination mit xchat versucht...

allerdings habe ich das problem, dass die normale textausgabe nicht funktioniert.

also ein

xchat.prnt("test einer textausgabe")

gibt mir zwar den string aus, aber nicht als message an den channel.

die zeile

xchat.command("me versucht text auszugeben")

funktioniert allerdings ohne probleme.

verwendet habe ich python 2.3.4 und active python 2.3.2 build 232

btw: source im anhang, einfach von *.txt auf *.py umbenennen.
