wie erstell ich das verdamnte file fuer den xvid codec?

ich oeffne die libxvidcore.dsp mit dem visual studio. da kommt erstmal ein dialog, dass das file nicht mit dem developer studio generiert wurde und wenn ich weitermach ein neues makefile erstellt wird, in das das jetztige eingebunden wird...
in dem libxvidcore.dsp steht jetzt ganz am anfang
!MESSAGE This is not a valid makefile. To build this project using NMAKE,
!MESSAGE use the Export Makefile command and run
!MESSAGE
!MESSAGE NMAKE /f "libxvidcore.mak".

wenn ich eben das makefile exporten will passiert genau garnix und drum:
NMAKE : fatal error U1052: File 'libxvidcore.mak' not found
eh klar...
aber was muss ich machen, dass ich zu dem .mak-file komm?
