PowerStrip could not read the clockrates of the card. Even with multiple reboots and a reinstall of PowerStrip, it refused to detect the clockrates.

Turning to alternative overclocking utilities, I installed Rage 3D's ATi tweaker, Using that, the clockspeeds were being shown accurately at 249 mhz and 201 (x2) for the core and the memory respectively. The problem was, even though you could move the bars, but the figures would be reset. After more reboots and another reinstallation of the utility, the figures would not waver from their default positions.

Half an hour later, a quick search on Google gave me my answer: the Radeon 9200 is locked, which means you cannot overclock it unless you flash the bios to one that has the clockspeed unlocked.

HALLO wir sind hier ned im gamestar forum wer sich von an bios lock aufhalten lasst der is ka clocker weil a anderes bios auf dei graka tun is ned schwer

ja, ich verstehs auch nicht.
weil son graka-bios flash is eh schnell geschehen. vor allem wenn nachher vermutlich eh auf der karte herumgelötet wird
