Because the card is due to ship in a "pre-overclocked" state, it was faster than a stock Radeon X1900 XTX in every benchmark we ran. And the Blizzard's higher core and memory clocks also gave it an edge over the GeForce 7900 GTX in a few tests (3DMark06, FarCry, Splinter Cell), where a stock Radeon X1900 XTX fell short of the mark set by NVIDIA's current flagship.

The Blizzard's liquid cooling apparatus is also another plus in our book. The card's liquid cooler does a better job at keeping the GPU cool than a stock heatsink assembly, and it does so while generating much less noise overall. We also like the fact that the cooler can be relocated into a different slot position within a system, and that it doesn't have to be right up against the video card, but this feature loses some luster because the card itself still has a dual-slot wide retention bracket. The Blizzard also proved to be a very competent overclocker, and because it's powered by ATI's flagship Radeon X1900 XTX GPU and 512MB of RAM it's obviously a heck of a performer too.

With an MSRP of $599, the Sapphire Blizzard Radeon X1900 XTX is not cheap by any means. But considering that "stock" X1900 XTXs are currently selling for about $530 to $580, we think the Blizzard's price-premium is well justified.

das kühlkonzept gefällt mir, nur bei den ram heatsinks hätte a bissal was grösseres raufgehört, ma hat ja dort jetzt keinen luftstrom mehr

wer solls kaufen ?
die einen haben ne wakü und würden das ding ned brauchen,
die anderen haben Air kühlung und kaufen sich maximal eine bessern air kühler der die rams gleich mit kühlt.

würd erst sinn machen wenns für alle komponenten so ne kleine build in billig wak gibt

BTW wieso das din 3 Slots belegt will mir auch ned wirklcih eingehen :/ da hättens schon die graka selbst dann nur 1 Slot breit baun können.

das kaufen n00bs die viel geld haben, und sich halt nicht gut auskennen und mit ihrem pc angeben weil sie ja so eine tolle wak haben....
