Word on the street is that ATI’s follow-up to RADEON 9700 PRO (codenamed R350) has taped out recently and will be marketed under the name RADEON 9900. We’ve heard conflicting reports on its manufacturing process, we naturally assumed it would be a 0.13-micron part, but we’ve also been informed by another source that the design is 0.15-micron."

wird ein heißer frühling werden.

obwohl die aussage das die radeon die langen shader instruktionen des nv30 einfach durch loops wegstecken könne blödsinn ist weil ein loop wieder ein extra aufwand ist den der nv30 nicht hat

ich wusste doch dass HyperZ III auch eine kompression dabei hat...

Theoretische Leistung ist schön und gut, aber was bei Doom3 am Ende rauskommt, zählt.

Die Kompression von ATI ist allerdings nicht so leistungsfähig wie die von nVidia

Deswegen kommt ja auch die R350.

wenn ati die 9900 jetzt gleichzeitig oder gar früher rausbringt als nvidia den nv30 und noch dazu ne bessere leistung bringt, wirds zum ersten mal seit vielen jahren mal etwas schlechter um nvidia stehen würd ich sagen.
ich mein, ich vorm sommer gesagt das ati nvidia nochmal überrunden wird und wenns so weitergeht wie bisher könnten sie das sogar schaffen, immerhin haben sie dann 2 karten innerhalb von einem nvidia-produktzyklus auf den markt geschmissen und somit 2 mal die performancekrone geholt.

naja, is ja alles noch therorie, vor weihnachten wird man nichts genaueres(benches) erfahren tip ich mal.

hoffentlich kommt die r350 gleichzeitig mit der nv30 !

Ja theoretisch kann man viel ereichen erst mal bauen dann dafür werben. Und nicht gleich immer spoilern

ati hat in letzter zeit die release comments immer eingehalten .. im ggsatz zu nvidia .. najo werma sehn i hoff nur das ati nvidia rockt
