auf IMDB wird zwar nach wie vor Battle Angel als sein nächstes projekt angeführt, doch als fix erscheint mir das nicht. wahrscheinlich werden noch einige monate vergehen müssen (in denen avatar hoffentlich gut kohle einspielt), bevor cameron offiziell sein nächstes projekt ankündigt.
Der Manga ist gut genug, dass man nicht traurig sein muss wenn nichts in die Richtung kommt - imo...
Zu Akira brauch ich zb. auch keinen Realfilm (Anime genau gesagt auch nicht, auch wenn es ihn gibt) - der Manga alleine ist so gut, da spielt sich eh alles im Kopf ab... Fantasie ist manchmal das bessere Kino.
sogar ich als nicht japan-nerd hab die mangas gelesen, einen film würd ich mir durchaus auch anschauen 
soll das dann eher ein Anime sein oder ein "normaler" film mit viel Computeranimation.
die hauptfigur wird komplett CG sein, also im großen und ganzen wie avatar.

I have three daughters, and thinking about what it’s like, the main character is this little girl that everybody kind of ignores. She’s got such a heroic heart on the inside, I’ve always loved that character."
