Mepi wie partitionieren ?

Will jetzt mal wida mehr mid mepi beschäftigen und wills am alten rechner installieren (sys2).

Drinnen is ne Maxtor mid 80 GB.
Zurzeit is sie so partitioniert: 7 GB (glaub ich) des Windows und rest auf ne eigene partition.
Jetzt will ich mepi 10 - 20 GB geben. Wie soll ich das ganze jetzt partitionieren? und wie geht das mid lilo.

ich hab zwar mit mepis selber keine erfahrung, sollte aber wie bei jeder andere distribution von statten gehen

ich weiß nicht was du vor hast, aber wenn du keinen fileserver betreiben möchtest, wirst wohl keine 20 GB brauchen .

wenn du 10 GB hernimmst, erstellst eine /swap partiton mit 192 MB (~ ram größe, wird reichen), vielleicht eine eigene /home partition (vielleicht 5 GB) und den rest auf /.

im prinzip kannst auch nur eine /swap machen und den rest auf /. ist imho da nicht so wichtig.

hmm das geht ned so wirklich ... er erkennt die partition wo windows installiert is ned als nfts system und den rest (66 GB) hat er 2 mal da oda so ... unter mepi gehts ned gut zum partitionieren.

ich versuchs mal mid partition manager

soll ichs als Ext3FS formatieren (hab jetzt 6 GB Win xp, 60 GB Xp-daten-spiele und 10 GB für linux)

die 10 GB muss ich jetzt als was formatieren ?

btw, Prog is Partition Manager 5.0

oder kennt wer a "spezielles linux - partitions - programm" ?

Zuallererst würd ich dir mal nahelegen, die Documentation anzuschauen, da sollte es detailliert beschrieben sein.

Wenn cfdisk oder parted nicht verfügbar ist, dann nimm einfach fdisk. Funkt problemlos.

partet is eh na nur kapier ich ned wie ich mid dem programm sapw ... etc. partitionen erstelle

Nimm fdisk.

Ist ganz leicht -
su root
fdisk /dev/hda (oder /sbin/fdisk)
m ------> Hilfe
p ------> Print partition table
d -------> Partition löschen
n ------> Neue Partition anlegen

Ich würd zuerst die 2te Partition komplett löschen
Dann mittels n eine Primäre erstellen (also partition 2)
Nochmal n um Swap zu erstellen.

Dann ist Partition 1 Windows
Partition 2 / von Linux
Partition 3 /swap

Veränder mittels t den Disk-Label der Partition 3,um daraus eine Swap zu machen.
L zeigt dir die möglichen Typen.
Swap ist 82

Am Schluss dann w um die Partitionstabelle neu zu schreiben.

(Aber alles auf Eigenverantwortung)
