SuSE 9.2 und Notebook = Total Ausfall?

Also ich habe gerade auf meinem AOpen 1557-GLS SuSE 9.2 installiert. Hat super funktioniert, nur wenn ich jetzt, nach dem ich das 1. mal im Linux war, wieder ins Linux booten will kommt folgender Error:
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(3,4)

tjo, und wenn ich ins Windows will kommt das:
root (hd0,0)
Filesystem type is fat, partition type 0xc
chainloader +1

wie komm ich wieder ins Windows und ins Linux ohne, dass ich meine Daten auf der C Partition verliere?

mit der windows-setup-cd booten und dann reperaturkonsole:

"fixmbr" und "fixboot" eingeben.

ok, also das mim fixmbr und fixboot hat nichts genützt, also habe ich windows neu aufgesetzt...

hat jemand eine Ahnung, warum der Fehler war (ich habe was von IDE Trebiern in anderen Foren gelesen)?
Ich würde schon gerne Linux installieren, aber nur wenns dann auch hin haut...

Hat wer nen Tipp?
