n'abend,
ich hab ein kleines problem mit meiner graka, meinem tft und dem fernseher.
in windows konnte man mit dem nvidiatool für den tft(LG L194WT) 1440x900 als auflösung wählen und am tv ein geklontes bild erzeugen mit einer anderen auflösung( in meinem fall 1024x768 - mehr packt der TV ned)!
wie ich es drehe und wende, ich bekomms ned so hin in ubuntu.
ich hab eine xorg mit der auflösung 1440x900 und eine mit 1024x768, bloß daß beide wiedergabegeräte immer die selbe und nicht ihre jeweils optimale auflösung haben.
könnte mir bitte jemand nen kleinen wegweiser zeigen, wie ich die devices getrennt konfigurieren kann?
ich möchte bloß beide geräte gleichzeitig ansprechen mit ihrer jeweiligen auflösung und bei der film wiedergabe am tv automatisch vollbild haben während am tft des normale kleine fenster ist!

Du hast nur einen Monitor, kanns sein, dass der tv out nicht als Monitor angesteuert wird, sondern nur als output klon? Du kannst dir amal den gatos treiber ifrc verwenden, der soll besseren tv output support haben.
ich hab nur einen TFT und einen TV.

schaut so aus als wäre des gatosprojekt für ATI und ned für GeForcekarten
Oh sry. ist schon ewig lang her, dass ich mit grafikkarten treibern herumgetan hab, ich hatte nur sowas im hinterkopf, btw alternativer treiber gibts eigentlich open source nvidia treiber? Es kann sein, dass das mit denen besser geht.
na leider, die ubuntu treiber für nvidia karten scheinen praktisch die selben zu sein wie die nvidia!
was ich nicht verstehe ist, wenn ich die treiber installiere und zB bei system-auflösung ändern, eben jene ändern will(TFT mein ich jetzt) geht des ah ned!
Wo willst du die Auflösung ändern? Am besten du machst das direkt in der /etc/X11/xorg.conf
ja genau des will i ja, bloß mein Fernseher am TV-out hat 1024x768 und mein TFT der am DVI hängt hat 1440x900.
und i will beide mit ihrer jeweiligen auflösung betreiben und ned beide 1024 oder beide 1440

mit folgender xorg.conf funzt des prima. ich muß zwar mit der maus zum TV rüber und dort dann im filesystem navigieren und die videodatein auswählen um sie am TV wiedergeben zu können, aber des stört mi ned!
