xwin über tv-out?

hi,

ich hab folgende idee: ich möchte meinen linux pc als multimedia station am tv anschließen, das ganze aber ohne bildschirm...

gibt es eine möglichkeit als standard-monitor den tv-out zum fernseher zu verwenden? also ohne bildschirm und x nur über tv-out, würde soetwas funktionieren bzw. wie muss ich x konfigurieren??

2 sekunden mit google sollten schon drin sein. falls du eine nvidia karte hast, es wird im readme des treibers sehr genau auf die konfig des tvout´s eingegangen.

oh, da hast recht, aber dankeschön!

ich hab einen shuttle xpc, also grafik und tv-out onbord, und iirc waren da keine linux treiber dabei...

ok, hab jetzt einiges versucht, aber es geht einfach nicht...

ich bin mir nicht sicher ob ich richtig verstanden werde: ich hab an meinem linux pc keinen monitor, d.h. ich will für xwin den fernseher als standard monitor verwenden...

ich hab alles der anleitung nach aus dem link von spuz befolgt, die config runtergeladen usw., aber folgende fehlermeldung bekomme ich:

also findet er keine screens, eh klar, aber wie kann ich x konfigurieren damit er gar keinen screen sucht sondern den tv-out nimmt??

wie gesagt dein config file hat ein problem. probier erst mal ein funktionierendes config file für deinen normalen monitor zu schreiben.. übung macht den meister

ich hab die konfig jetzt soweit hinbekommen dass sie keine fehlermeldungen mehr gibt und ich ausserdem ein bild auf dem fernseher habe, leider sind das nur wirre zeichen die aussehen als würde ich mir eine binäre datei anzeigen lassen, ich poste mal die konfig, vielleicht weiss ja irgendjemand rat...
