Review @ The Tech Report

Zitat
Although AGPe isn't fit for serious gaming, it makes the PX915P-AGPe an intriguing option for those looking to upgrade to PCI Express slowly. Far Cry performance with AGPe may be dismal, but AGPe is currently the only way to run AGP cards on motherboards with PCI-E graphics. Until someone delivers a north bridge with native support for both AGP and PCI-E (something that VIA has promised but not unveiled) AGPe has no peers.

Apart from AGPe, the PX915P-AGPe is unremarkable. Its RAID feature is limited to a PCI-bound ATA/133 RAID controller. The board also lacks Firewire, digital audio outputs, and PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet. The PX915P-AGPe's $129 street price may be competitive with other 915P-based motherboards, but many of its features are not.

For those who want to upgrade to Intel's latest chipset without giving up their AGP card, the PX915P-AGPe is nearly the only game in town. As a way to put off purchasing a PCI Express graphics card, it's a pretty solid option, as long as gaming performance isn't a priority. However, for those who have no interest in AGPe, better features and value are available from other 915P-based boards.
