Z170 Mainboard + 16GB DIMMs

Hat damit jemand Erfahrung?
Ich habe vor ein Asus ROG Ranger Mainboard zu kaufen und dazu wollte ich ein 2x16GB Kit RAM bestellen. Allerdings spricht das Handbuch (http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb...NGER_UM_WEB.pdf) des Mainboards nur von max. 8GB Module.

In der Memory QVL Liste (http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb...VL_20150805.pdf) erscheint nur ein einzelner 16 GB Riegel, sagt leider auch nicht viel aus.

Funktionieren 16 GB Module am Z170 (oder auf den Asus Boards) generell nicht, oder ist das nur eine "haben wir halt nicht getestet" Angabe?

Möchte eben keine RAM kaufen die dann inkompatibel sind.

(64 GB Support ist lustig, wenn man maximal 4x8 GB verbauen kann ...)

edit: ah mist, ich hab "kit" überlesen, also auch nur 8gb module gelistet

The Motherboards and the CPUs do support up to 64 GB of RAM total. The main problem why we do not list these is because they basically do not exist, or are very rare. So we did not test them.

Most 16GB RAMs you will find are ECC memory. ECC memory does only run on serverboards and not on normal Z170 motherboards. I just checked kingston, they for example do not have a single 16GB Ram that would work.

I found 2 sets of 64GB (4X16) Ram at G.Skill that they have tested on the Maximus VIII Ranger. You can find G.Skills complere list of Ram for the motherboard here:

I can not guarantee that you will find these models available in a store right now though. With a quick google search I did not find those right now.

Habe die RAM (http://geizhals.at/corsair-vengeanc...4-a1305610.html) gestern eingebaut und funktionieren ohne Probleme.

wo ist eigentlich der unterschied zwischen atx und itx bei diesem mainboard von der performance - gibt es da überhaupt unterschiede?

Teilweise sind die Leiterbahnen kürzer, wodurch ITX unter Umständen mehr Performance bieten kann. Merkt man allerdings nur bei Benchmarks.
