According to AMD, the Validated Server machines are "thoroughly tested for quality, compatibility, longevity and stability and are backed by global manufacturers who have met rigorous standards of performance and service in order to participate." Among the twelve are systems by Newisys, Supermicro, Tyan, and Uniwide, which AMD showed off in Dubai, United Arab Emirates earlier this week..."

find ich toll, dass der opteron vom markt so gut angenommen wird
hoffe nur, dass amd weiter so arbeitet
eine 2 starke macht am cpu-sektor ist nie verkehrt und vor allem im server-bereich lässt sich geld machen

Das Burj al Arab hat sich sicher gefreut dass das ganze in dubai augetragen wurde

ontopic: freut mich für AMD! weiter so, sie haben ja auch die google server übernommen, is das schon einkalkuliert?

Google hatte allein im Jahr 2004 63.272 Rechner und 126.544 CPUs laufen... (heutige Daten währen interessant), also von "übernommen" zu sprechen ist falsch

Concratz an AMD, mitn "neuen" Opterorn, werden sicher noch einige Kunden hinzukommen!

Welche Firmen haben denn noch CPUs im Serverbereich?

zb ibm, sun, hp,...

sind aber nicht im x86 tätig mit ihren cpus und daher keine direkte konkurrenz
