Darauf habe ich gewartet. Mein XP-M Sys. könnte ich bald in Rente schicken.
Bei X86-secret vermutet man, dass bei AMDs Dual-Core Athlon 64 Desktop CPUs das "HyperThreading"-Bit aktiviert ist.

ohne benchmarks wertlos...ich will wissen ob es was bringt, was bringt einem ein papiertiger
Mich froits^^, ich bin eh son minimal-Nachrüster...
und wenn die raus sind, wen die dann raus sind,
sollten die anderen 64er doch billliger werden...

Entweder hast du die Quelle nicht richtig gelesen, oder dich falsch ausgedrückt
AMD wird kein HT unterstützen, es wird lediglich dem Betriebssystem vorgegaukelt, es wäre vorhanden, um den 2. Kern voll nutzen zu können

Das kann man sehen wie man will. Wer den Artikel gelesen hat, hat auch gelesen, dass die K8-Architektur die HT-Technologie nicht unterstützt. Aber egal, ich hab' meinen Post editiert
Um's also nochmal klarzustellen: Das Setzen des HT-Bits bedeutet nicht, dass die X2-CPUs HT-kompatibel sind. Es bedeutet lediglich, dass sie HT-ähnliche Fähigkeiten besitzen. Das sollte Multithreading and Multitasking Operationen effizienter gestalten, da offenbar bereits vorhandene Optimierungen ausgenutzt werden können.
