Es gibt erste Details zu den neuen Mini-PCs von Intel mit Broadwell-CPU/GPU:

Intel 14nm Broadwell and Braswell based NUC 2.0 Platform appears online – three form factors

Intel lists quite a lot of details on their page and also shows of the three major form factors of the NUCs. As you may know, these will be coming in everything from light Braswell SoC powered pocketables to just as small Core i5 powered gaming machines (steam machine anyone?). Stuff that is mentioned on the NUC page includes the “sleep-and-charge” USB port and M.2 SSD slot on the motherboard. Intel has also revealed some of the upcoming boards by listing them in a broken fashion with a ‘pre-production’ tag:

Wär halt toll, wenns mal ein NUC mit 2 Netzwerkschnittstellen geben würde. Dann könnte man die Dinger auch als Leistungsfähige Network Appliance oder Firewall einsetzen :-) Ich bin gespannt...

Ich freu mich schon sehr auf die neuen NUC, zwei interne Schnittstellen für Festplatten lösen alle meine Probleme was einen lokalen Server angeht . Hoffentlich bringt der Sprung auf Broadwell ordentlich was.

Vielleicht sollt ich dann mit der Anschaffung eines NUC vielleicht warten. Außer mir kommt vorher der Gigabyte Pro in die Quere .

So einen haette ich dann bitte gerne mit vollstaendig passiver Kuehlung fuer eine OpenELEC-Box, aehnlich wie die heute schon erhaeltliche ZBox CI320 von Zotac.
