Review @ FiringSquad | Geizhals
ZitatThe Playseat features several seat variations: black, white, A1GP, Indy 500, and a Tony Stewart licensed design. What makes the Playseat exceptional is that it has a great balance of features – it’s sturdy and reliable enough to be practical, yet has the look of the $750 reference quality Sparco set-up. From a purist’s standpoint, Bob Earl’s VRC likely offers a seating position closest to professional racers, and if you were using Gran Turismo to train in the off-season, the VRC is clearly a good option. For the rest of us, the PlaySeat makes that appropriate compromise, giving us a better looking seat with a comfy headrest, the stability required to maximize the force feedback of a wheel such as the Driving Force Pro and G25, and a natural seating position mirroring a sports car.
If you’ve already made the commitment with a force feedback steering wheel, it’s a no-brainer to take the next step with a dedicated racing seat. The Playseat Evolution is our favorite chassis thanks to its comfortable seat, adequate stability, and relative ease of purchase. How good is it? I bought one.
