Homeworld 3 Is Coming, Hell Yes

It’s going to be a full-blooded sequel, carrying on the story from the earlier mainline games (remember, the otherwise-excellent Cataclysm isn’t treated as canon) and promising the return of Homeworld’s signature 3D real-time space combat.

As someone who loves Homeworld from the very bottom of my heart, this is amazing news, and yet, there’s a weird catch attached to the announcement. Despite Gearbox publishing the game, and that it’s coming from an established studio with a number of successful releases under its belt, Homeworld 3 is going to be crowd-funded.

Ich mein es gibt sicher einige devote Homeworld fans, aber ob das Konzept aufgeht, wage ich zu bezweifeln...

Ich vermute die schauen einfach nur wie groß der Andrang ist mit einer Crowdfunding-Campaign, kostet ja nichts quasi ... außerdem kann man sicher ein paar Fanboys mit ultra-teuren Gimmick-only-Crowdfunding-Versionen das Geld aus der Tasche ziehen

Demo gibt es auch bei Epic, aber weil das dort keine Altersfreigabe hat und man ein Datum angeben muss, funktioniert das post a link feature nicht.

Ich hab die Demo ausprobiert, bin aber nicht weit gekommen. Die Steuerung war einfach schlecht, unit selection usw hat nicht gscheit funktioniert. Nach einigem kämpfen mit den Optionen und Steuerung, weniger mit Gegnern, hab ich es einfach sein lassen.

Ich bin sicher kein Hardcore HW fan, aber ich hab alle Teile gespielt und zumindest ein Fan, mir hats nicht getaugt.

Der Typ da hat ein langes Video gemacht wo er auf alles eingeht was nicht passt. Imo auf den Punkt gebracht. Ich halt nicht die Luft an für HW3.

Edit: Immerhin hat mich die Demo motiviert endlich Cataclysm/Emergence (auf GOG) anzufangen
