hab mal wo gelesen, dass der ide controller max 180 gb unterstützen kann,....

ATA-100-Controller können Festplatten bis zu ca. 128 GiB (oder ca. 137 Milliarden Bytes) adressieren (24 Bit Sektoradressen).

Ab ATA-133 gibt es 48-Bit-Adressierung, damit praktisch kein Limit.

Theoretisch ist das ein Softwareproblem, allerdings habe ich noch keine BIOS-Updates oder Treiber gesehen, die älteren Controllern die 48-Bit-Fähigkeit verpassen.
