ich habe meinen Server jetzt unter SuSE 9.2 laufen gehabt, möchte das ganze jetzt aber auf Windows laufen lassen.

Meine Hardware:
4 x S-ata 200 GB
1 x Asus A8V Deluxe

Unter Windows XP gibt es ja den Hack, das ganze auf Raid5 umzustellen.

Würde das laufen?
Welche Möglichkeiten seht ihr da?

entweder xp/2k hacken und das softraid5 dort aufsetzen oder gleich windows server benutzen.
funzt tadellos, benutze ein windows softraid5 schon seit ca. einem jahr, lässt sich dodeleinfach auf andere systeme (mit windows raid5 capability) portieren im notfall.

Hallo, verstehe ich das so richtig?
Ich habe eine Bootplatte, da kommt Windows 2003 Enterprise drauf und dann mache ich aus den 4 S-ATA Platten ein Raid.

und W2k3 Ent. kann das Software Raid 5 erstellen.

Passt das dann so?
