maybe hat noch wer an tip ...
meine hda will sich net wie eingstellt ausschaltn.
hab so ziemlich alles was auf die hdd schreibt abgstellt (was ich halt gfundn hab)

syslogs gehn auf andere pladdn, swap-partition is disabled, es werden auch keine files auf der hdd gschrieben soweit ich des nachvollziehn kann. trotzdem rennt die kreissäge fröhlich nonstop durch.

redhat 7.1

harddisk standby via hdparm -S XX /dev/hdx (in rc.local bzw manuell)
hdb rennts wie's soll
hda mag net.

hab scho ewig kan monitor mehr an der kiste dran ghabt :rolleyes:

i kann mir net vorstelln, daß jemals ein bios geben hätt, wo man für jede hdd selektiv powermanagement einstelln hätt können.

btw kleiner tip is zwar ne BSD mailinglist nur probiern kannstas :
protected , kommt doch eh fast jeder von der Linux welt bzw alle was ich so mit glesen hab ev hatt das einer schon mal mit erlebt

Ich hatte auch mal eine Platte, die sich einfach nicht abgeschaltet hat. Da kann man wohl nicht viel machen.
