Win XP: Unmountable Boot Volume! Hilfe !!!!

also als ich meinen PC starten wollte bekam ich die nette meldung
UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME!
ERROR IN irgendwo 000x....

ich hab das so verstanden das er meine boot partition nicht mehr lesen kann.

formatieren hab ich noch nicht probiert,weil ich möcht meine Daten noch irgendwie retten? geht das?

versuch es do einmal mit reparieren, ist zwar nur eien bastel lösung, aber könnte gehen

When booting up to Win XP you may get a error that reads "Unmountable Boot Volume". This is probably because your boot.ini file is messed up.
So, what do you do about it, panic and try to mount your boot in your computer...... No that is probably not a good idea.

You can boot to the XP cd and when you see the Welcome to setup press the letter R
You will get a dos prompt
Then type "chkdsk /p" without the quotes and hit enter
When that is done type "fixboot" and hit enter
"Y" and enter at the prompt
Then type "exit" and hit enter
The system will now reboot into Windows

If for some reason that don't work for you, you can boot to the recovery console like above and...
Type "chkdsk /r" then enter
When done type "exit" and hit enter.
This will take longer, but the system should boot back into Windows.

hab genau das gleiche problem mit der fehlermeldung beim notebook von einem freund, nur kann ich nicht reparieren, booten von cd geht, dan kommt aber auch gleich mal der setup schirm wo ich mir die platte zum installieren auswählen soll, irgendwie erkennt er das dateisystem der xp-partition nicht, in klammer steht nur "unbekannt"...
kann mir da wer weiterhelfen? wären auch ein paar daten die zu retten sind....

hmm bei nem normalen pc gings mit festplatte rausnehmen und wichtiges rüberziehen,

bei laptop bin ich leider überfragt

btw iirc bei mir war damals glaub ich nix mehr zu retten!
