It's extremely portable and fits into places you might not normally place a laptop (including some of my nicer, girlier bags, not just a laptop bag). And it's good at getting you on the Internet.

As a workhorse computer, the Air doesn't fare as well. It obviously doesn't stack up to the MacBook Pro in terms of power and features, and even lags the MacBook in some areas. But it's not really meant to fill that niche anyway.

Sure, there are other subnotebooks on the Windows side of the aisle that offer a variety of different configurations. There are ones with smaller screens that people love because they are even more portable. There are ones with built-in optical drives. There are ones with more ports. There are ones with more power. And there's nothing wrong with that, if that's what you want. But the MacBook Air is the only super-thin notebook that (legally) runs Mac OS X, and we feel that Apple did a decent job at figuring out how its users would use such a computer. It's not perfect by any means, and we hope to see Apple make improvements upon the Air with future iterations.

sinnloser kommentar? ich mein: microsoft ist ja auch nicht der einzige hersteller für notebooks auf denen windows läuft...

klar, er hat absolut recht - aber es ergibt einfach keinen sinn.

Er meint vermutlich eher, er kauft sich a neues Macbook, weil der Tausch des hinnigen Akkus genau so viel kostet wie ein neues Book

also soweit ichs gelesen hab ist der akku sehrwohl zu tauschen, wie schwer es ist kann ich nicht sagen aber früher oder später wird schon ein video dazu auf youtube auftauchen

insgesamt 19 schrauben und der akku ist ausgebaut, kann praktisch jeder der keine 2 linken hände hat.

Der Artikel ist überhaupt strange, der/die spricht von einem sekündar Pc, da man ja ansonsten ein Optical Drive kaufen müsste..
So wie wenn ich statt ner externen Maus, nen neuen Pc kauf

Wenn ich von nem sauteuren Akku ausgeh, dann sind es 400 Euro. Und mehr als 100 Euro kostet der Einbau nicht, wenn du ihn selber machst, ist es sogar gratis..
Nix da 1700 Euro..

Akkutausch find ich nicht so tragisch. Wenn man bedenkt, auf welchen Preis man das Book ursprünglich erwartungsgemäß geschätzt hätte.
Aber von derLaufzeit bin ich mehr als enttäuscht, bin auf weitere reviews gespannt 8das kanns nicht gewesen sein)

Die Benches sind zwar "interessant" aber das war ja eh klar, dass der unter Last gegens MB & MBPro abbeißt. Eher find ichs cool, dass das MB so knapp am MBP pickt (manchmal)

Für Remote Disc ist wiederum eventuell ein Firmware-Update eines Routers notwendig, da der Service über WLAN sonst nicht funktionieren könnte.

Sollte das MacBook Air mit mehreren Bluetooth-Geräten verbunden sein, wird laut (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=307289) Apple das eventuell WLAN langsamer.
