hi leute, hab mir 2*256mb cl2 infineon rams gekauft pc 266
bin im nachhinein draufgekommen das ich auch normale rams nehmen kann für mein mobo, nun die frage - kann ich ecc oder normale rams besser übertakten???

mhmm naja glaub ich nicht ecc sind langsamer als normale.
meine Crucial im Dual halten aber hohe Fsb ohne Probs aus. ~150mhz

ich tippe auf schlechter weil ecc aufwendiger sind

sogut wie gar nicht, abzueglich der messtoleranz mit glueck 1%

weder besser noch schlechter, die ecc funktion ist bei den meisten boards sowiso per default disabled, ansonsten wuerde das booten recht lange dauern.

i hab nämlich dann a neues board, das kann ecc oder normale nehmen i hab des nit gwusst und mir natürlich vorher glei mal ecc bestellt, wenn i normale nehm komm i 110€ billiger ...

tja wies aussieht nehm ich halt normale :)

ECC bringt dir fuer normale anwendungen nix, es is fuer server gedacht bei denens egal is wenn das booten ein paar minuten laenger dauert.

mhmm verwirrt bin.
ist also sinnlos wenn ichs einschalte beim Asus Dual?
oder gehts gar net?
merke keine unterschied weder beim Booten noch im betrieb.

Normal is es so (auch bei mir) sobald ecc enabled is bleibt der bildschirm ca. 1 minute schwarz., erst dann kommt die erste bios-meldung.

wenn deine ram kein ecc unterstuetzen ist es egal obs ein oder ausgeschaltet ist, es wird einfach ignoriert.

najo - reboot is ma ja auch blunzn mei pc läuft eh imma a paar tage durch...

aba wenn i 110€ spar dann is ma des nimma wurscht weil server wü i eh kan und wenn ma die kiste in 200 jahr 1x öfter a BSOD oder sowas zeigt is ma des ah egal
