...wie bring i an alten ISA-IDE-Controller auf an ASUS VX97 soweit, dasser unter Linux rennt?

Wenn i a HDD ansteck kennt ers net... und i weis net wieso. (der ISA-Controller is von an alten 486 board, wo da IDE nur auf diese weise angsprochen wurde - hilft das wem weiter?)

(hmm is das a Linux Treiberproblem, oder a Hardware-Problem?)

kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass man dafür überhaupt einen treiber braucht. wer weiß, vielleicht gab's solche exotischen isa controller wirklich, aber normalerweise läuft das einfach so. hast du keine option im bios, wo du nachschauen kannst, ob die hd erkannt wird? wenn nicht, dann boot mal dos und schau, ob er dann die platte findet. ich denke, es wird überhaupt nicht gehen, nicht nur mit linux nicht.

hab das auch mal probiert, leider wollte dieser isa idecontroller unter keinem os mehr rennen.
vergiss es und hol dir an billigen promise, pci, die funzen supi ( auch unter linux )
