Ich möchte in einem lokalen Intranet mit etwa 400 Teilnehmern einen IRC Server aufsetzen und diesen dann entweder durch Clients oder durch ein http Interface zugänglich machen. Hat damit irgendjemand Erfahrung bzw kann mir sonst wie helfen?

Für den Server kann ich dir auch nicht gerade weiterhelfen. da gibts sicher ein Server-Programm welches bei Linux dabei ist ;)

Für die Web-oberfläche gibts JIRC (Java-Irc-Client) siehe zum beispiel http://www.cpu.at/chat.php

es gibt glaub auch noch ne lösung die auf php aufbaut aber kein schnall wo man des herbekommt.

Ich hab jetzt Jirc und IRC Deamon in Verwendung und es funktioniert wirklich gut.
