nVidia enthüllt GeForce Go 6800

NVidias jüngster Sproß in der Mobile-Familie, die GeForce Go 6800 kommt augenscheinlich in zwei Variationen auf den Markt. Einerseits wird es die "normale" Karte, die GeForce Go 6800 Ultra (300/600 MHz, 16 Pipelines), geben und andererseits will nVidia auch eine DTR-Version, die GeForce Go 6800 DTR (450/1200 MHz, 12 Pipelines), auf den Markt bringen. Während wir auf die Variante mit den 16 Pipes wohl noch etwas warten müssen, wird der kleinere Bruder schon ab heute ausgeliefert. Bei ExtremeTech gibt man sich jedoch etwas skeptisch in Bezug auf die breite Adaption der DTR-Lösung.

Die GeForce Go 6800 unterstützt natürlich nVidias PureVideo Technology mit Support für WMV, WMV-HD und HD-MPEG2 HW Decode Acceleration. Leider war auch hier die Hardwarebeschleunigung aufgrund der Treiberprobleme deaktiviert, mit einem neuen Treiber aber soll sie funktionieren. Auch nVidias PowerMizer debüttiert mit der Version 5 und verspricht mehr Leistung bei geringerer Hitzeentwicklung. Die von ExtremeTech getestete Karte war mit 275/300 MHz getaktet und besteht aus 190 Millionen Transistoren.

fette performance, aber gegen die m28 werdens wohl net viel ausrichten können. a vgl mit da 9800mobility hätt ma auch taugt!

Naja, viel schenken tuan sich de auch nicht, bei der Go6800 ist imho der Ram zu niedrig getaktet. da wird imho leistung hergeschenkt...

Auf der Page von Extremetech steht auch noch was von einer 6800 Go Ultra mit 400Mhz Core und 16 Pipes... :eek:

aber dass die 6800 in ut2k langsamer als ne 9700 is schnall ich net..
aber so schlimm is der unterschied gar net...nur im 3dmark03 rennt ma die 6800 davon...

oder kann das am grakaspeicher liegen, ich hab nämlich auch 256...

Wusste nicht obs zu Video Cards oder Mobile Computing gehört.... falls falsch bitte moven....

Wahnsinns leistung, aber wie immer sauschwer ~5 kg und der Preis is auch ned ohne....

aber das wichtigste ---> endlich laptop grafikkarten zu stecken (upgradefähig) wurde endlich Zeit...

edit: btw. die kühlung von dem monster is ja auch ned ohne :eek:

Die kann ja net um das doppelte besser sein als eine normale Mobility Radeon 9800/X800 oder?
Weil der Leistungsspruch im Grafikkartenbereich ist nicht mehr so groß wie es mal war.

Bitte um bisschen Aufklörung =) war ja 6 Monate oc.at urlaub *schäm*
