Several days of solid benchmarking later we are finally able to come to some conclusions about the 9800 Pro cards in the test. In terms of all out best stock performance you won't do better than a 256MB Radeon 9800 Pro based card, this being reinforced by yet more image quality cheating by nvidia to keep up when DX9.0 shaders are used. However the best case we saw in real benchmarks was a 3% increase in speed versus the £100 cheaper 128MB cards, all of which overclock to 256MB edition speeds without any issue whatsoever. You simply don't need 256MBs of memory on a graphics card yet.
