Sony has ensnared a star and director for its Spider-Man offshoot, Venom.

Tom Hardy, who was nominated for an Oscar for his work in The Revenant, is in final negotiations to star in Venom, while Ruben Fleischer, best known for directing Zombieland, is final negotiations to helm the movie project centering on one of Spider-Man’s signature villains.

tom hardy macht eigentlich nur gute filme, aber bei solchen großen studiofilmen hat selbst ein kaliber wie er wahrscheinlich wenig einfluss. hoffen wir das beste.

Die Autoren und der Regisseur lassen jetzt kein Wunderwerk erwarten, aber wenn sie Carnage bringen und sich das Ganze nicht total im CGI verliert, dann könnte er schon unterhaltsam werden. Hardy wird den Eddie Brock schon ordentlich als Antihelden spielen.

Allzu viel gibt der Teaser ja noch nicht her. Intro ist jedenfalls nett. Bin auf's CGI von Venom und Carnage gespannt. Ich hoffe, dass im Film auch _deutlich_ rüberkommt, dass es sich hierbei um Symbionten handelt und nicht einfach nur um "Enhanced Humans im Kostüm" wie es bei Spidey 3 der Fall war.
