Grantsdale mutiert?

Auf der Computex kann man auch Grantsdale-Boards bestaunen, die sowohl AGP- als auch PCI-Express-Ports aufweisen können. Nachdem diese Boards nach Intel-Spezifikation keinen AGP-Slot mehr besitzen dürften, machte sich AnandTech daran, diese Sache zu untersuchen, nachdem der Inquirer gestern bereits von solchen Boards berichtet hat.
Beim ECS-Stand wurde man darüber informiert, dass man bei Verwendung des AGP-Slots mit Performance-Einbußen zwischen 5 [DirectX 9] und 20 [DirectX 8] Prozent rechnen muss. Des weiteren gab man auch bekannt, dass man beide Slots gleichzeitig benutzen kann, verlor jedoch kein Wort über die Details. Wie man bei AnandTech jedoch wissen will, wird der AGP-Slot dabei wohl abhängig vom PCI-Bus betrieben.

Hehe, kreative Sache, muss man schon sagen.

Ich mein eine High-End Graka ist zwar nicht unbedingt dafür gedacht im PCI-Mode zu laufen, aber zumindest kann man sich ein neues Board holen, ohne zum Grakatausch gezwungen zu werden.
