das is aber nicht ganz richtig was da steht.

es wird hoechstwahrscheinlich kein cat 7 gebn, wird uebersprungen und mit cat 8 weitergefuehrt (fragts mi net warum das so is).

das heißt dass man für normale LAN's mit kabellänge unter 10m für 1GBit Nic's auch mit CAT5 Kabeln weiterkommt?
würd mich nämlich freuen, ich stell mein homelan nämlich im Spätsommer auf 1 GBit um :cool:

@Murph: Normale Cat5 Kabel schaffen normal ohne Probleme Gbit, sofern sie gut geschirmt sind, und nicht zu lang sind.
Ich hab schon oefters ein bestehendes Cat5 Netzwerk auf Gbit umgebaut, und bis auf einzelne Faelle funktioniert es problemlos.

Weder fuer Cat7 noch fuer Cat8 existiert eine richtige Norm, es gibt zwar beide Kabel, jedoch sind sie nicht Standardisiert, allerdings so ausgefuehrt wie die Norm aussehen wird/koennte.

ab welcher Kabellänge stellen sich probleme ein?

Ich hab im moment 5-metrige Kabel im Zimmer,
plane jedoch die PC's quer durch die wohnung zu verteilen - das würde heißen Kabellängen von etwa 20 metern und mehr... (bzw ca. je 5 meter von den cat5 dosen entfernt)

wie schaut's hierbei aus?

Bei 20m gibts normal keine Probleme, besonders bei fertigen Kabeln. Verwed Cat5e, die sind fuer hoehere Frequenzen geignet und nicht viel teurer als Cat5.

Willst Patchkabel nehmen oder nacher Steckdosen montieren?

i hab selber a CAT-7 Kabel quer durchs hasu gelegt und nachhre an CAT 5 Stecker raufgelötet (2x verkerht herum *grml*) weil des gschissene Kabel ned ind Grimpzange geangen is.

Das kommt daher das man fuer Cat7 (normal AWG22) spezielle 600MHz Stecker braucht, und fuer diese eine Spezielle Crimpzange.

Ausserdem bringt dir Cat7 mit normalen 100MHz RJ45 Stecker nix

im mometn sinds patchkabel, werden aber in nicht weiter Zeit Dosen.

Wennst scho mal solche Dosen montiert hast sollts ka Problem geben, i wuerd aber cat5e verwenden weils nur wenig teurer is wie normales cat5.
