Zitat aus einem Post von UnleashThebeast
Is this an off-season April Fools joke?
Nein, probiers mal aus. Mit Gamepad macht das eigentliche Spiel dann sogar Spaß. :D

path of exile devs sprechen während eines podcasts über diablo 4 (thx mesca):

Zitat

Rough transcript from 37:13 - 45:20

**Johnathan**: You know what's interesting? Of all of the games... people who aren't gamers have come out of the woodwork to talk about it. Seriously, it has blown up to the point where people who haven't played games in a decade know about this and are talking about it. Like, the disappointment is THAT high. It's amazing.

**Johnathan**: But I find it weird, because normally whenever I see an internet ragestorm, normally I imagine "well that's just 10% of the teacup" and the real-world won't be affected by that. But somewhere here, you've got shareholders selling stock, market caps going down, etc. The internet and the real-world normally don't touch that much, **so the degree to which this has blown up is crazy!**

[...]

**Johnathan**: With the Xbox One version, we've proved we're not "consolizing" PoE, so we've got the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the PS4 version now. No controversy.

[...]

**Johnathan**: The thing is, ultimately Blizzard would have been fine if they had just said "hey, we're working on a game for you as well."

**Nick**: So why didn't they?

**Johnathan**: I thought about this for a very long time. To preface, The Elder Scrolls, they basically said, "Hey guys we're releasing Elder Scrolls 6 and we're not gonna say anything about it, and here's a mobile game!." **and that was fine. Because ultimately, it was effectively proof that they were still making a game for you. **

**Johnathan**: This brings the question that players ask "Well why wouldn't you just say 'we're working on D4'?" , **and the only reason I can see is that they don't actually want to commit to making it. And that implies that they're not sure if they're ever going to release it.**

[...]

Johnathan: I mean look, we were absolutely operating under the assumption that D4 would be announced. You know that we've talked before about how we want 4.0.0 to be designed to go up against D4**, so we were going to have to bring our A-game."

[...]

Johnathan: I think that they're completely missing the boat, PR-wise. It seems like everything they say is like digging the hole deeper,** and I don't understand why they are acting the way they are, but the only theory that I have is the one I've got right here.
