Oder du nimmst die FTP Version von SuSE 8.0

Das passende CD Image für die FTP Installation gibt es hier:
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ft.../disks/boot.iso

Also wenn du es sehr textorientiert haben willst, glaube ich das du doch einmal Debian probieren solltest ;)

http://www.debian.org ist dann genau richtig für dich.

edit: das bedeutet jetzt nicht das debian nicht anfängertauglich ist, ganz im gegenteil.
