Hallo!
Ich installiere gerade Gentoo auf meinen Athlon XP 1800+ und hatte probleme mit genkernel und habe jetzt das ding selbst kompiliert (Kernel 2.4.22-r5).

Beim booten kommt jetzt folgendes:

hda: lost interrupt
hda: dma_timer_expiry: dma status == 0x64
hda: DMA interrupt recovery

und das dauernd...(er scheint aber den bootvorgang fortzusetzen, halt elends langsam).

Kennt wer das Problem?
Ich habe auch schon versucht mit der option: pci=noacpi zu booten, leider erfolglos.

Ich bin für jegliche Hilfe dankbar!

Ich habe scheinbar das Problem gelöst:
-->neuen Kernel kompiliert und diesmal alle ACPI Optionen fix eingebunden... --> schaut sehr gut
