Already Barton-Samples Available!

Wie man auf X-Bit Labs nachlesen kann, hat AMD bereits Samples vom Barton (Athlon XP, 0.13 Mikron, 512 KB L2), die schon auf der Computex von AMD's Partnern vorgeführt wurden.
Der Barton wird erst nach Intel's nächstem 3 GHz Pentium 4 erscheinen. Kurze Zeit nach dem Barton sollen CPUs mit demselben Core, aber mit niedrigerer Spannung, für den Notebook-Markt präsentiert werden.
Zukünftig will AMD mehr auf 3DNow! setzen und die Softwareentwickler überzeugen, Applikationen darauf zu optimieren.
