In addition to the market share announcement, AMD also boasted about the launch of twelve new server platforms that meet the company's Validated Server guidelines, as well as the finalization of the HyperTransport 3.0 specification. According to AMD, the Validated Server machines are "thoroughly tested for quality, compatibility, longevity and stability and are backed by global manufacturers who have met rigorous standards of performance and service in order to participate." Among the twelve are systems by Newisys, Supermicro, Tyan, and Uniwide, which AMD showed off in Dubai, United Arab Emirates earlier this week..."

find ich toll, dass der opteron vom markt so gut angenommen wird

hoffe nur, dass amd weiter so arbeitet
eine 2 starke macht am cpu-sektor ist nie verkehrt und vor allem im server-bereich lässt sich geld machen

Google hatte allein im Jahr 2004 63.272 Rechner und 126.544 CPUs laufen... (heutige Daten währen interessant), also von "übernommen" zu sprechen ist falsch

Concratz an AMD, mitn "neuen" Opterorn, werden sicher noch einige Kunden hinzukommen!

gibts da auch zahlen über die restlichen Prozente, wie die so verteilt sind?
Grad am Serversektor gibts ja mehr als nur AMD und Intel

zb ibm, sun, hp,...

sind aber nicht im x86 tätig mit ihren cpus und daher keine direkte konkurrenz
