Hab ma gestern die Linux Mandrake 8.2 Iso gesaugt.
Notebook ausgepackt - Pladde formatiert (1 Partition) - Mandrake Bootdisk erstellt - gebootet.
Wenn der Hardware Test kommt - bleibts bei

Partition Check:
hda: (cursor blinkend)

hängen.
Hab fdisk nochmal gemacht - ohne/mit formatieren probiert - nix.

Was hat's da?

eingentlich ist die Mandrake installation doch eh Deppensicher - dH. man braucht eigentlich nix vorbereiten (Partitionen) odr?

das 7.2er hat schonmal tadellos funktioniert...

...shit ich hab gerade ein bsichen in den Linux Foren herumgelesen - kann es sein, dass es am BIOS liegt?

laut "kofler" gibt es mit notebooks häufig probleme, hab aber keine eigenen Erfahrungen!

mit Mandrake 7.2 hat's ja tadellos funktioniert - also was is schuld - Ahnung?

ich weiss ja nicht, vielleicht möchtest du ja unbedingt mandrake haben, aber ich würde es dir nicht unbedingt empfehlen... ich hab es im moment parallel zu windows drauf und bin nicht sonderlich begeistert... such dir lieber eine andere distri, debian z.b. soll ja so gut sein ;) :)

Bei meinem note hatte ich auch EXTREME probs mit mdk8.2!

naja jedenfalls hab ich jetzt Mandrake 7.2 installiert - Notebook dürfte sich mit dem Kernel 2.4.*** nicht vertragen haben...egal welche Distribution...
