Die Frage is obs ein Softwareproblem ist...

Ich habe hier das Problem das bei meinem Rechner (Profile, "acid") das Win2k Setup nicht mehr startet, sobald man eine Taste drueckt um das Setup zu starten kommt die Meldung "Setup is inspecting your computers hardware...", danach steht die Kiste. Das sowohl bei CD's mit SP3 wie auch ohne.

Komischerweise kann man den 2003er Server oder WinXP ohne Probleme installieren, lediglich das Win2k Setup bleibt stehen.

Mittlerweile wurde alles ausgebaut was irgendwie stoeren koennte, andere Bootplatte, andere Kabel, andere CD-ROM Laufwerke, onboard Controller deaktiviert... aber nichts hilft.

Vorschlaege?

Thrawn hatte mal das Problem, er hat es mit einem BIOS Update gelöst.

Vielleicht sollte man erwaehnen das bereits Win2k installiert war, die Installation war aber kaputt, deswegen wollte ich das Setup starten.

Also warum sollte es ploetzlich nicht mehr gehen?

hast ihn länger bei "inspecting hardware...." stehen lassen oder hast gleich mal abgebrochen.

ich hab schon rechner erlebt die da ewig brauchen, aber nachher anstandslos mit der installation weitermachen.
