6GB HDD mit FAT -> 500MB HDD?

Ich hab grad einen Rechner neu aufgsetzt(so ein älterer IBM Desktop PC), und laut dem , lustigen, IBM-BIOS is eine 6 GB Platte drinn, das Laufwerk läuft aber unter FAT und zeigt im Windows nur 500Mb an, kann das sein, oder is wirklich eine 500er drinn?

Vielleicht wurde eine Partition mit 500Mb angelegt?
Starte mal Fdisk und schau dir die Partitionierung an
