"turn off the windows welcome experience" war wieder "not configured". mal schaun wie lang es diesmal so bleibt wie es sein soll.

Local-only commands removal: We are removing known mechanisms for creating a local account in the Windows Setup experience (OOBE). While these mechanisms were often used to bypass Microsoft account setup, they also inadvertently skip critical setup screens, potentially causing users to exit OOBE with a device that is not fully configured for use. Endlich wird da was gemacht - ich war schon in Sorge ob des schlimmen Risikos fuer User, dass ein device that is not fully configured for use Probleme fuer jene verursacht, die inadvertently skip critical setup screens.

Also User "Die wissen was sie machen" müssen davor geschützt werden das sie vielleicht was machen was die User nicht möchten ?

Ernsthaft, wenn sich nicht mal mehr die Marketingabteilung Mühe gibt ...

Meine Kunden bekommen alle ein Linux. Solangs nur für Office gedacht ist.

Gerade Office ist doch meist der Knackpunkt warum Linux ausscheidet.

Privat kann ich gut drauf verzichten, aber beruflich bekomme ich regelmäßig Files die nur mit Microsoft Produkten aufgehen. Auch MS Teams oder Outlook gibts nur für Windows oder MacOS (da gehen die Webclients aber halbwegs)

nah, muss man unterscheiden zwischen business und homeuse. Letzteres geht sehr wohl mit libre office und co auch.

business is halt vll wegen outlook usw. fraglich aber das ist ja jetzt auch oft schon in der cloud...

edit: is für word,excel,powerpoint das standalone noch wirklich notwendig?

ich verwend LibreOffice im büro ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

meanwhile mein laptop bei dem ich immer noch zu faul war win11 runterzuhauen:
- update installiert nicht wegen SSD inkompatibilität
- werbung hat das update trotzdem überall hingehauen

ich muss eine windows domäne und xenserver farm administriern.. das geht mit linux eher ned so toll.
und daheim nutz ich immer noch gerne meine WMR brille. mit ein grund, warum ich immer noch auf win10 bin und bleibe.
