For the time being the keyboard does have its issues. The high gloss palm rest was a mistake and while I like the feel of the keystroke for gaming, I don't think everyone will be as impressed. Other quirks include the fact that the LEDs cannot be turned off, the multimedia keys on the sides that have no place on a gaming keyboard, and that if the keyboard's feet are flipped up, to tilt the keyboard, it tends to slide.

The final consideration about this product should take its extra into account. What Razer was able to do with its drivers was really impressive. Once a community of users is started and profiles can be traded some real advances will probably be made. While only very dedicated users will be able to get the most out of the drivers, almost anyone will be able to set a macro if the need should arise. The other extra is the BattleDock system. This article did not really go over this because unless you purchase additional equipment it has no use. Depending on the price of the equipment consumers may be interested in plugging in a web cam or keyboard light, but both of these tasks can be performed better through other solutions. This could get interesting if Razer was to integrate a speaker/microphone or an iPod dock, but for the time being I am not sold on the BattleDock.

da ist mir a gscheiter tastenanschlag und langlebigkeit scho wichtiger als a haufen zusatz-tasten, cherry G80 ist noch immer godlike aber das sind weniger spieler-interessen als vieltipper-anliegen

Naja ich hab die G15. Der Tastenanschlag ist nicht sooo traumhaft. Aber die beleuchteten Tasten sind wirklich ein Hit.

Aber um den Preis gibts glaub ich auch bessere Tastaturen.

100 € für ein paar Tasten mehr und LEDs? Klingt ein bissi teuer! Und Rutschen is wirklich sehr sehr nervig.

Ok, sie is sicher besser als meine jetzige Genius. Aber da gibts schönere Modelle um weniger! (Oder teurere, die mir spontan mehr zusagen würden als die Tarantula).
