Synology NAS - tips und tricks?

dass die 920+ noch immer keine 10gbit option hat find ich recht schwach.

auf die käufer bau ich, da kann man sicher günstig ne 918+ irgendwo abstauben

Das Problem ist halt dass Intel nicht nur bei den "großen" Prozessoren an den 14nm hängt, sondern auch bei den Atom Dingern. Die neuen Synology nutzen deswegen einfach nur die Ende 2019 neu aufgelegten Speedbumps und das wars.

Xeon-D ist eine interessante Plattform, aber sowohl bei Synology als auch QNAP schweineteuer, weil nur in "großen" Modellen. Leider sind die Boards damit einfach unverschämt teuer, so dass man sich das auch für Selbstbau kaum leisten will

Warum man sich nicht auch einen Ryzen Embedded anschaut, z.b. den Kleinen mit 2C/4T und Vega3 Grafik, der um diese grindigen Atom wohl Kreise drehen würde, weiß wohl nur Synology (oder auch Intel, ob der Exklusivität die bei Synology herrscht).

Mir scheint es so, das ich hier keine vorhandene Ordnerstruktur darin "einbinden" kann, ist dies richtig?

Nunja, das mit der automatischen Gruppierung und Suche wäre schon praktisch.

das mit dem zusammenführen von moments und der Photostation find ich sehr interessant. hab mich ziemlich lange gespielt, bis es endlich funktioniert hat und alle bilder "eingeordnet" waren - nur um dann festzustellen, dass ich jetzt zwar sehr schnell alle Bilder vom Strand oder alle Bilder mit Wolken rausfinden kann .. aber naja. wozu?

bleibt noch abzuwarten in welche richtung sie migrieren.

hat schon wer DSM 6.2.3? bei meiner DS1618 schlägt er die version einfach nicht vor - seh sie aber gelistet als kompatibel auf da synology webseite.
